Why certify?



  • Customer data normally forms the starting material for the production of high quality printing products. However, the results that are being reached by using this data does not comply with the wishes and expectations of the customers.
  • Affirmative relief and security in print production create established standards that have applied themselves in the printing industry through the likes of PDF/X-3 Format for data transfer, the media standard print for the handling of colour in the workflow and the PSO.
  • Complaints can only be dealt with successfully if valid and comprehensible standards for production have been applied that can also be verified towards the customer.
  • The PSO forms a central instrument for controlling processes and quality assurance in the printing industry.
  • Germany´s print and Regional Printing and Media Industries Federation (vdm) and Graphic Technology Research Association have developed a neutral certification according to the latest industry standard ISO 12647 PSO. The quality of a print product can be determined and controlled on the basis of preset target values and tolerances.
  • Once being certified according to ISO 12647 - PSO any company is capable to document its quality in producing print products independently and neutrally towards the customer.
