The PSO is for everyone that is involved in the print production: from the agency or the advertising department of an industrial enterprise to the pre-press company right up to a single or multi stage printing plant.

Thereby, the size of the production plant does not matter. In general, the PSO describes the tolerance limits of all production steps and therefore defines the quality of interim and final products on each interface during the production of print products.

Pre-press companies and agencies can prepare their data in such way that they range within the parameters of PSO and therefore contribute to data flow optimisation, mistake avoidance and quality consistence.

Especially for small and medium sized printing plants the consistent compliance of quality standards, rationalisation of the workflow and consistency in product quality are very important.

 

This is paramount to avoid comparability and increasing costs, but at the same time being able to offer added value to the customer.
